We understand you may not have time to update WordPress, it’s plugins and themes regularly.\u00a0 However, a WordPress user must keep updated their WordPress and its essential assets which make it more super-powered ( Generally known as plugins and themes ).<\/p>\n

In this short guide, we will try to assist you. How to enable Auto-update for WordPress core, plugin and themes. Both WordPress Manager tools are expressed in the following called WP Toolkit and Softaculous WordPress Manager.<\/p>\n

How much it’s important?<\/span><\/h4>\n

Updating WordPress core, themes, and plugins is vital because:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Security<\/strong>: Updates protect against attacks and fix vulnerabilities.<\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Bug fixes<\/strong>: Updates improve stability and performance.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Compatibility<\/strong>: Updates ensure alignment with new web technologies.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. New features<\/strong>: Updates introduce enhancements and functionality.<\/span><\/li>\n
  5. Support:<\/strong> Up-to-date versions receive better assistance and troubleshooting.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    WordPress Manager by Softaculous:<\/b><\/h2>\n

    Usually, It\u2019s located under the Software section of cPanel.

    Scanning File System for WordPress Installations :<\/h5>\n

    If your WordPress installations are not listed in Softaculous WordPress Manager. Then you should obey the below-listed point otherwise you may skip it.<\/p>\n

    • In <\/span>WordPress Manager by Softaculous <\/b>interface<\/span>. <\/b>Click on <\/span>Scan<\/b>.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        \n
      • Switch to Manual installations<\/strong> and then click over \u2018 <\/span>Start Scanning for installations<\/b>\u2019.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        • Scanning time will vary on the number of manual installations you have.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          • Afterwards, it will show you the output if there is any or else will be back with the message <\/span>\u201c<\/span>No installations found !<\/b>\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
            Enabling Auto Update :<\/h5>\n

            • First, you have to click on the drop-down arrow<\/strong> right after the Green ” Up to date ” button.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

              • Switch Auto Upgrade WordPress Core<\/strong> from ” Do not Auto Upgrade<\/em> ”\u00a0 to\u00a0 ” Upgrade to latest version available<\/em> “<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                • Another step remains to enable Auto-Upgrade for Plugins and themes.<\/li>\n
                • Check mark the Enabled circle beneath Auto Upgrade WordPress Plugins<\/strong> and Auto Upgrade WordPress Themes<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                  • Apply the same process to all other wp installations as well.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                    WordPress Toolkit :<\/b><\/h2>\n

                    • Login into cPanel<\/strong>.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n
                    • Scroll down a bit under the \u2018Domains<\/strong>\u2018 section. You will find WP Toolkit<\/strong>. Navigate into it.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                      Scanning File System for WordPress Installations:<\/h5>\n

                      If your WordPress installations are not listed in WP Toolkit and then apply the below-listed point otherwise you may skip it.<\/p>\n

                      To fetch\/bring all manual WordPress installations in WordPress Toolkit. Please follow the following point.<\/span><\/p>\n

                        \n
                      • In the WP Toolkit. You can see a \u2018Scan<\/strong>\u2019 button right after \u2018Install<\/strong>\u2019. Hit the \u2018Scan\u2019<\/strong> button.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                        • Even then a pop will appear at the right bottom corner \u201c Scanning for WordPress sites<\/strong>\u201d.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                          • When the scan is completed. your manual installations will be listed.in front of you within WP Toolkit.\u00a0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                            Enabling Auto Update :<\/h5>\n

                            • To show up more options for installation, Click on the drop-down arrow at the head of the installation box.<\/li>\n
                            • Afterwards, you will see the Smart Update <\/strong>option. You will find it disabled. Here you need to Enable it by Toggling the Switch to the Right Side.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                              • Next, you have to do. Enable Auto Update for plugins and themes.
                                \nHow will we do that?<\/li>\n
                              • Simply get into\u00a0 Autoupdate Settings.\u00a0<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

                                • Select the Force<\/strong> option next to Update plugins and themes automatically.
